Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers

Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers is a jazz concert at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, presented under the joint billing of bassist Victor Wooten and The Wooten Brothers. The evening centers on bass-driven jazz from one of the instrument's prominent American players.

Victor Wooten is an American bassist whose work spans jazz-funk, jazz and bluegrass. He became a member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones in 1988, a group that combines bluegrass, jazz and funk, and his bass playing has been central to that band's sound. Alongside his work with the Flecktones, he has released solo music and written instruction on playing and musicianship.

The Wooten Brothers share top billing with him on this concert, under the title Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers. The program is presented as a jazz show, so listeners who follow virtuosic bass playing and the blend of jazz with funk and bluegrass will find the material closest to their interests.

Teragram Ballroom hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles. It suits audiences looking for a live jazz performance in the city, and the billing points to a night built around the bass and the family ensemble rather than a single featured voice.
