Wilco - Winterlude 2026

Wilco is a rock band from Chicago, formed in 1994 and led by Jeff Tweedy. This concert at The Chicago Theatre is part of Winterlude 2026, a program of shows on this visit to the city.

Wilco formed in Chicago in 1994 after the group Uncle Tupelo split, and Jeff Tweedy, who came out of that band, has been its principal songwriter. The band's sound moves between roots-rooted songwriting and experimental rock, and its best-known records include the 1995 debut A.M., the 1999 album Summerteeth, and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot from 2002. Nels Cline on guitar and Glenn Kotche on drums are among the musicians who have been part of the band's lineup over the years.

The Chicago Theatre is a historic venue on State Street in Chicago, and it hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. Its program on this date is titled Winterlude 2026, and the evening suits listeners who follow Chicago indie rock and the long career of a band that has worked across alt-country, pop and experimental styles. Visitors interested in the group's catalog can use the albums above as a starting point before the show.
