WildWood Country

A Chicago concert by WildWood Country, an act working in blues, country and folk, at Carol's Pub, a local venue for concerts and shows.

WildWood Country is an act working in blues, country and folk, three genres that grew from the same American rural song traditions. Blues brought its twelve-bar structures and expressive vocal phrasing, country added narrative songwriting, and folk carried acoustic storytelling across generations.

The concert takes place at Carol's Pub, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. It suits listeners who follow roots music and want to hear blues, country and folk combined in a single set. For listeners who follow Americana, the night offers a direct route into three of its foundations. Those who know one of these styles well can hear how the other two connect to it.
