Much Ado About Nothing

A new production of Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing, staged at Shakespeare's Globe in London, directed by Chelsea Walker. The show follows the sparring between Beatrice and Benedick.

This production of Much Ado About Nothing is presented at Shakespeare's Globe and is directed by Chelsea Walker. The story centres on Beatrice, who has decided to avoid romance, and Benedick, the man she finds herself unable to ignore, as their rivalry turns into something more complicated once a war has ended and courtship begins.

The staging places the play in a bright, fashionable society where appearances matter and gossip spreads quickly, with secrets, rumours and damaged reputations driving the plot. The production is described as a frank look at poor conduct, second chances and recovering from past hurt, so audiences can expect a comedy that also examines the consequences of how people treat one another.

Shakespeare's Globe is the venue for this new production of one of Shakespeare's romantic comedies, and the show suits those who want to see a classical play given a contemporary, sharply observed treatment.
