Overview
A concert by Muireann Bradley, an Irish musician who sings and plays fingerpicked rural blues and ragtime guitar, at the Arts Club Theatre in Liverpool.
Muireann Bradley is an Irish musician from County Donegal who sings and plays guitar in the style of rural blues and ragtime. The fingerpicking follows that of the original artists of these forms, who were active from the 1920s to the 1940s. Bradley's debut album, I Kept These Old Blues, was released in 2023.
On stage, Muireann Bradley sings and plays guitar, drawing on the fingerpicked technique of those earlier recordings. The music stays close to the traditional blues and ragtime idiom rather than contemporary pop or rock arrangements.
Arts Club Theatre Liverpool is a concert and performance venue. The evening suits listeners drawn to early blues and ragtime guitar played in the older fingerpicking tradition.
