Overview
A new Kiln Theatre production of Natasha Gordon's award-winning debut play Nine Night, directed by Amit Sharma, set within a Jamaican-British family and its response to loss.
Nine Night is the debut play by Natasha Gordon, which premiered at the National Theatre to critical acclaim and has since won awards. Its subject is a Jamaican-British family and the way its members respond to a death. The play has been praised for its emotional depth, its humour and its portrayal of family life.
This Kiln Theatre production is directed by Amit Sharma and offers a new interpretation of Gordon's script. The staging follows how relatives grieve, argue and ultimately stay close to one another, presenting these tensions on stage within the theatre's auditorium.
Kiln Theatre, the London venue hosting this production, is a venue for concerts and shows.
