Neapolitan Pizzamaker for One Day

Pizzaiolo Napoletano per un giorno is a hands-on workshop designed to introduce tourists of all ages visiting Naples to the art of the Neapolitan pizzaiuolo, which UNESCO has recognised as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The workshop takes place at the school of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and involves preparing pizza with the help of an instructor from the Association, who will guide participants through this interactive journey.

Participants will leave their everyday clothes behind to become pizzaiolos in a personalised apron made for the occasion. They will discuss the 'right' raw ingredients, prepare the dough by hand in the flour to get the right consistency, stretch it out on the pizzaiolo's counter and, after topping it with tomato, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana, basil and olive oil, they will be ready to put it in the wood-fired oven, as tradition demands.
