Overview
A big band jazz evening in Berwyn, titled Big Band & BBQ: British Buddy Big Band!, staged at Fitzgeralds Nightclub, a venue for concerts and shows.
Big Band & BBQ: British Buddy Big Band! is a jazz concert by a big band, a large ensemble built around horns and a rhythm section. The title names the British Buddy Big Band and frames the evening around a barbecue. Big band jazz grew out of the orchestral dance bands of the early twentieth century, and its arrangements give featured players room to solo over full ensemble writing.
Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn hosts concerts and shows, so this performance takes place in a club setting. The night suits listeners who follow big band jazz and want to hear a full ensemble performing live in a venue built for music.
