Foreigner: Celebrating Fifty Years

Foreigner, the American-British hard rock band formed in New York in 1976, marks its fifty years with a concert at the Beacon Theatre. The show is part of a celebration of the group's long career.

Foreigner was formed in New York in 1976 and signed to Atlantic Records, which released the band's self-titled debut album in 1977. Founded in the city where the group still plays its anniversary dates, the band has built its sound on the hard rock tradition, combining guitar-driven songs with melodic choruses.

The concert is titled Celebrating Fifty Years, a retrospective evening that looks back on the decades since the band's formation. Fans of classic rock will find in this program the material that has defined the group over its long history, presented on the stage of a theater that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year.

The Beacon Theatre is a New York venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this evening suits listeners who follow Foreigner's catalog from its 1970s debut onward, as well as newcomers curious about one of the city's longest-running rock acts.
