Overview
A jazz tribute by Frank Catalano to Chicago saxophonist and composer Eddie Harris, presented at Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn. Harris's own music is the focus of the evening.
Frank Catalano celebrates Eddie Harris, the Chicago saxophonist and composer (1934–1996) who recorded for Atlantic Records and wrote "Listen Here," one of his best-known pieces. Harris also experimented with the electric saxophone in the 1960s. This program is a tribute: Frank Catalano honors Harris's music, and Harris does not perform.
Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn hosts concerts and shows. The program draws on Harris's catalogue, so it suits jazz listeners interested in his compositions and in the Chicago jazz scene he came from.
