From San Francisco: Guided Tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito

A guided day trip from San Francisco, heading north across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument, a secluded canyon of coastal redwoods, with a stop in Sausalito.

This guided day trip leaves San Francisco and crosses the Golden Gate Bridge toward Muir Woods National Monument, a canyon filled with ancient coastal redwoods. Visitors walk among trees that stand about 260 feet tall and are roughly 1,000 years old, moving through cool, moist air in a setting that offers quiet and solitude.

The itinerary also includes Sausalito, the town just across the bridge from the city. The program is built around the guided route rather than independent exploration, so the day follows a set path from start to finish.

It suits visitors passing through San Francisco who want a structured day outside the city, with a focus on the redwoods and the scenery north of the bridge.
