Funkadesi: 30th Anniversary Concert

A 30th anniversary concert by Funkadesi, a world music act, at Space, a venue in Evanston that hosts concerts and shows.

Funkadesi is a world music act whose sound blends Indian music with funk, pairing South Asian melodies and rhythms with the grooves of American funk. This concert marks the band's 30th anniversary, a milestone for a group that has built its work around this fusion across three decades. Its records and concerts draw on both traditions at once.

Space is a venue in Evanston, a suburb just north of Chicago, that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow world music and fusion, and anyone interested in hearing how a long-running band marks three decades of its own sound on stage.
