Lakeshore Rush Presents: String Quartet Summit

A chamber music evening presented by Lakeshore Rush, held at the Sanctuary of Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago and devoted to the string quartet, the ensemble of two violins, a viola and a cello.

String Quartet Summit, presented by Lakeshore Rush, is a concert devoted to the string quartet, the chamber ensemble of two violins, a viola and a cello. Each instrument carries its own line, so the form rewards close listening and attention to how the voices interact.

The evening takes place at the Sanctuary of Epiphany Center for the Arts, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in Chicago. Its programming covers live music and stage performance, which places this chamber evening within the city's cultural calendar.

Chamber music suits listeners who want to hear a small group play with precision and balance. The string quartet is one of the most widely played formations in classical music, and its repertoire spans several centuries.
