LPR Presents: Mass of the Fermenting Dregs

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, a Japanese alternative rock band, plays a concert presented by LPR at the Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens.

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Kobe in 2002. The group works as a trio in the post-rock and shoegaze vein, with a sound built on guitar and melodic pop vocals. The band has been signed with Avocado Records since 2008.

The evening is presented under the LPR name and takes place at the Knockdown Center, a venue in Maspeth that hosts concerts and shows. It suits listeners who follow shoegaze and post-rock and want to hear a Japanese band of this lineage in person, with a set built around guitar textures and sung melodies.

For anyone deciding whether to attend, the band's origins in Kobe and its long association with Avocado Records are the most precise points to know before the night. The music sits between the atmospheric layering of post-rock and the melodic pop songwriting of alternative rock, which makes it a clear entry point for fans of both styles.
