Make Your Own Sushi - SF

A hands-on sushi-making workshop at The Hotel Majestic in San Francisco, where participants learn to roll sushi with a professional chef during a two-hour session.

In this cooking class, participants learn the basic techniques of sushi making: spreading rice, layering fillings, tucking and rolling. A professional chef guides the group through each step, beginning with how to prepare sushi rice and how to select the right type of fish.

Each participant makes three kinds of rolls: tuna, salmon and California roll. The ingredients named in the material include avocado, mango and nori. All equipment and ingredients are provided, and the session lasts two hours. Participants taste their creations at the end. Drinks are not included with the admission, but drinks, including beer, are available for purchase at the venue.

The class is open to all levels of experience, so it suits beginners as well as people who simply want to try sushi making for the first time. It takes place at The Hotel Majestic.
