Muir Woods and Seaside Sausalito Half-Day Tour from San Francisco

A half-day day trip from San Francisco to Muir Woods and the seaside town of Sausalito, operated by Big Bus Tours. It suits visitors who want a redwood outing without driving themselves.

This trip takes travelers from San Francisco to Muir Woods, a redwood grove that is one of the oldest in California. Walking routes follow dedicated paths through trees said to be about 1,000 years old, so the outing centers on the grove itself. The itinerary also includes a stop in Sausalito, a seaside town.

Parking at the grove is limited, and the trip includes reserved spaces on site, so riders do not have to search for a spot or manage the drive to the grove. Big Bus Tours runs the outing, which makes it a practical choice for visitors passing through the city who prefer not to navigate unfamiliar roads.

The trip starts in San Francisco and requires no particular experience. It is a good match for curious visitors who want a nature outing that combines a forest walk with a coastal town visit within one day.
