Oh, Mary! is a comedy, and the title points to a lighthearted evening built on character-driven humor rather than a serious drama. The show is staged as a live theater performance, with a cast working through comic situations on a single stage for the length of the production.

In the auditorium, expect the usual rhythm of a comedy: quick exchanges, physical timing and a steady build of mischief and misunderstanding that keeps the audience laughing from one scene to the next. The tone is playful and accessible, which suits a night out with friends, a date or a visitor looking for a comic evening in New York.

The Lyceum Theatre hosts concerts and shows throughout the year, and this comedy is one of the productions on its program. It is a practical choice for anyone who wants a classic night at the theater with an emphasis on laughter and clever staging.
