Robert Glasper: Holiday Residency

Robert Glasper's holiday residency at Blue Note Los Angeles, presenting the pianist, composer and artistic director in a program rooted in R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Robert Glasper is an American jazz pianist, composer and artistic director, born in Houston in 1978. Active since 2003 and signed to the Blue Note label, Glasper builds on jazz harmony and improvisation. The album Black Radio, released in 2012, is one of the best-known points of reference for the blend of jazz with R&B and hip-hop that runs through much of the work.

This Holiday Residency draws on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, styles that sit alongside Glasper's jazz roots. The program suits listeners who follow contemporary jazz as well as those drawn to soul and R&B grooves.

Blue Note Los Angeles hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this run marks Glasper's stay in the city over the holiday season.
