This hands-on sushi class in Chicago is led by a chef instructor trained in Tokyo. Participants season warm rice, prepare fillings and mix a sauce before rolling California, Salmon and Vegetable rolls. Each step is practiced first, using two classic rolling techniques.

Ingredients, tools and equipment are provided, and three sushi rolls are included. Drinks are not included, though guests of legal drinking age may bring their own beer, wine or champagne. Participants work at their own pace, with the aim of repeating the techniques at home.

The class suits groups who want to learn together, such as friends, couples, coworkers or neighbors. It is taught in English and takes place at Gateway To Learning in Chicago.
