The Jazz Room: A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans is a live jazz performance that traces the style to New Orleans, the city where it was born. The concert draws on the roots of New Orleans jazz and on the free spirit the genre is associated with, mixing established classics with moments of spontaneous improvisation.

Talented jazz musicians and vocalists perform the program, with the saxophone, trumpet and other jazz instruments carrying the melodies. Set list tunes alternate with improvised passages, so the music moves between familiar material and the players'own invention.
