Overview
A children's concert in Evanston in which The Rock and Roll Playhouse performs music by The Beatles alongside additional material for young audiences.
The Rock and Roll Playhouse performs this program, built around the music of The Beatles, the Liverpool group active from 1960 to 1970. Its members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr shaped a catalog that moved from early pop singles to studio albums such as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Songs such as "Yellow Submarine" and "Hey Jude" are among the band's best-known recordings. The title also adds music beyond the Beatles catalog, so the program covers more than one repertoire.
Space, the venue hosting the performance in Evanston, presents concerts and shows. This program is designed for children, offering a family-friendly introduction to the Beatles'songs.
