Big Band & BBQ w/ SHOUT SECTION BIG BAND

A big band jazz evening by Shout Section Big Band, presented as Big Band & BBQ at Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn. It suits listeners who follow large-ensemble jazz.

Shout Section Big Band plays jazz in the big band format, a full ensemble built around brass and saxophone sections supported by a rhythm section. The act also appears under the name BBQ w/ Shout Section Big Band, and this evening is billed as Big Band & BBQ. Big band jazz traces back to the swing era of the 1930s and 1940s, when ensembles of this size were the dominant format for dance music.

Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn hosts concerts and shows, and this jazz program takes place there, bringing a full big band to a suburban stage west of Chicago.

The night suits anyone who enjoys big band jazz and wants to hear a large ensemble perform live in a club setting.
