Emily Bear

A jazz concert by pianist and composer Emily Bear at Blue Note Los Angeles, a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening is built around the piano and the artist's own musical voice.

Emily Bear is a jazz pianist and composer whose music centers on the piano. Working within the jazz tradition, the artist writes original material and performs it under their own name, which places the evening in the piano-led side of the genre. Jazz piano offers a direct view of harmony and improvisation, and this concert follows that line.

Blue Note Los Angeles hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this jazz booking gives audiences a chance to hear a contemporary piano voice in a venue programmed for live music.

The evening suits anyone following jazz piano, from listeners new to the genre to those who already know its contemporary players.
