Gilby Clarke

Gilby Clarke is a guitarist and songwriter with a career spanning rock band work and solo recording. This concert takes place at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood.

Gilby Clarke joined Guns N'Roses as rhythm guitarist in 1990 and remained with the band until 1994. Clarke's solo career followed, beginning with the album Pawnshop Guitars in 1994. The music is pop, rock and indie, built around guitar-led songwriting that draws on the hard rock tradition of the band's earlier years.

The show is at Whisky A Go Go, a club on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood that has hosted concerts and shows since the 1960s. It suits listeners who follow Clarke's songwriting from the solo catalog and those interested in the guitar work from the Guns N'Roses period.

Clarke's catalog spans several decades of releases, so the evening draws on a range of material from across that span. This is a solo appearance on the Los Angeles calendar, and the project's concerts remain rooted in guitar-based rock.
