Graham Hunt

Graham Hunt, a songwriter based in Madison, Wisconsin, is paired with 9Million in a concert at Zebulon in Los Angeles. Hunt's sixth album, American Pyramid, is the subject of the evening.

Graham Hunt has been releasing records since 2019, building a large catalog from Madison, Wisconsin. The sixth album, American Pyramid, marks a change in method: rather than working alone with home-studio and computer-based recording as on earlier releases, Hunt entered Pachyderm Studio in Minnesota with an eight-piece band. The songs were written as chords and melody only and then arranged with the group in a live studio room.

The album follows Timeless World Forever from 2025, the last part of a trilogy made in the home studio. Its lyrics use a surrealist approach to examine the traditions of American indie rock and the sense of detachment in American life. Hunt has described wanting to record a band live after years of making music alone, which is the core of the new record.

The concert pairs Graham Hunt with 9Million. Zebulon is a Los Angeles venue for concerts and shows, and the evening suits listeners who follow indie rock songwriting built on a band sound.
