Gretchen Parlato

A jazz concert by vocalist Gretchen Parlato at Blue Note Los Angeles, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The page covers the artist's background and the evening's setting.

Gretchen Parlato is a jazz vocalist who leads projects built around the voice and small ensembles. Two of the best-known albums are The Lost and Found (2008) and Househaunting (2011), both of which place the singer's phrasing and interplay with a small group at the center of the music.

This Los Angeles engagement takes place at Blue Note Los Angeles, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The Blue Note name also belongs to the New York jazz club and record label of the same name. The evening suits listeners who follow contemporary jazz singing and want to hear a vocalist's own material in person.
