Insomnium & Amorphis in Orlando

Insomnium and Amorphis, two Finnish metal bands with roots in the melodic death metal scene, play this concert at The Abbey - Orlando.

Insomnium is a Finnish melodic death metal band formed in Joensuu in 1997. Signed to Century Media Records, the group released its debut album, In the Halls of Awaiting, in 2002.

Amorphis, formed in Helsinki in 1990, is a Finnish band whose work spans death-doom, melodic death metal and folk metal. Signed to Nuclear Blast, the group released its first album, The Karelian Isthmus, in 1992.

Both acts come from Finland and work within the melodic death metal tradition, so the bill suits listeners of Finnish metal across that range. Fans of either band's catalog will find the same Finnish lineage on the bill. The Abbey - Orlando hosts concerts and shows in Orlando, and this date brings the two bands to that stage.
