Jersey Boys

Jersey Boys is a musical about the Four Seasons, presented at the Cibc Theatre in Chicago by Broadway In Chicago. The show follows the vocal group's rise through its best-known hits and the relationships among its members.

Jersey Boys is a jukebox musical about the Four Seasons, the vocal group from New Jersey whose members were Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. The book is by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and the score is built on the group's recordings, including "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Walk Like a Man." The show opened on Broadway in 2005 and received the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2006.

The story is divided into four sections, each narrated by one of the band members, and traces the group from its early years to its chart success and the tensions that came with it. Its songs stay close to the 1960s pop harmony style of the original records, so the show combines a biography of a popular act with a showcase of its music.

The Cibc Theatre hosts this production in Chicago, presented by Broadway In Chicago. The musical suits audiences who know the Four Seasons'recordings, as well as those interested in stage biographies of popular musicians.
