Laurel

A concert by LAUREL, a British pop, rock and indie project from Southampton, presented at Permanent Records Roadhouse in Los Angeles.

LAUREL is a British musician from Southampton, born in 1994, whose work spans independent pop and chamber pop. Active since 2010, the project sits across pop, rock and indie, moving between the direct songwriting of independent pop and the arranged, classically informed textures of chamber pop.

Chamber pop blends pop song structures with classical instrumentation, while independent pop refers to music made outside major-label systems. Both traditions meet in LAUREL's work, which has developed over more than a decade.

Permanent Records Roadhouse hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this concert gives local listeners the chance to hear the project live. The night suits anyone following independent pop, chamber pop or indie rock.
