Robby Krieger of The Doors

A concert billed as Robby Krieger of The Doors, the guitarist of the Los Angeles rock band, at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood. The evening centers on the band's catalog and its guitar-driven sound.

Robby Krieger is the guitarist of The Doors, the rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965 with Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek and John Densmore. Krieger wrote the music for "Light My Fire," the band's 1967 hit, and composed "Spanish Caravan," which appeared on the album Waiting for the Sun in 1968. The band was active until 1973, and its blues-rooted, psychedelic rock remains tied to Krieger's guitar parts, including the Spanish-inflected writing of "Spanish Caravan."

Whisky A Go Go is a club in West Hollywood that hosts concerts and shows. The Doors held a residency there in 1966, which connects the venue directly to the band's early Los Angeles years.

This night suits listeners who want to hear the music of The Doors and its guitarist, performed by Robby Krieger in a club setting.
