Overview

A concert at Space in Evanston featuring Nora O'Connor, Sima Cunningham and Kelly Hogan, with a title that refers to the Roches, the New York vocal trio of sisters.

The Roches were a vocal trio of sisters, Maggie, Terre and Suzzy Roche, who began performing together in the New York area in the 1970s. Their close harmonies and blend of folk, pop and rock set them apart in American songwriting, and their 1979 self-titled album is among their best-known records. The title of this evening points directly to their music.

Nora O'Connor, Kelly Hogan and Sima Cunningham share the bill, and the event's name, Roses for the Roches, ties the evening to that vocal tradition. The music falls within pop, rock and indie.

Space hosts concerts and shows in Evanston, a suburb just north of Chicago. The evening suits listeners who follow singer-songwriter and vocal-led music.
