The Arcadian Wild

A concert by The Arcadian Wild, an act working in blues, country and folk, staged at Space in Evanston, a suburb directly north of Chicago. Here is what to know about the music and the venue.

The Arcadian Wild performs blues, country and folk, three American traditions that share roots in storytelling and in song forms passed from one generation of musicians to the next. Each genre brings its own approach to melody, rhythm and lyric, and the act's music draws on all three.

Space hosts concerts and shows in Evanston, a city on the shore of Lake Michigan just north of Chicago. Its programming covers live music and stage performance, so the evening is built around the concert itself rather than a wider program.

Listeners who follow roots-based music will find this performance a direct way to hear blues, country and folk played live in the North Shore suburbs, close to the city.
