Ub40

UB40 is a British band formed in Birmingham in 1978, blending pop, reggae and dub. This concert brings the group to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

UB40 formed in Birmingham in 1978 and took its name from the UK unemployment benefit form. Its music blends pop, reggae and dub, and its wider sound draws on soul, funk, R&B and gospel. Ali Campbell and Robin Campbell are among the group's key members. The band's debut album, Signing Off, appeared in 1980, and its 1983 cover of Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine" became one of its best-known recordings. Its 1993 version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" also reached a wide audience.

The band's catalog moves between reggae rhythms and pop melody, which makes it a fit for listeners who follow British reggae and pop crossovers from the late 1970s and 1980s onward. Those who know the group's cover songs and its dub-influenced arrangements will recognize the range of this repertoire.

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas hosts concerts and shows in Las Vegas, and this date places UB40 on its calendar for the visit.
