An Evening with Squirrel Nut Zippers: Christmas Caravan 2026

A jazz evening by Squirrel Nut Zippers, presented under the Christmas Caravan name at Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco. The band's swing-based repertoire is the focus of the program.

Squirrel Nut Zippers is an American swing and jazz band formed in Mississippi in the 1990s. Its sound draws on the big band and hot jazz of the 1920s and 1930s, with a retro dance-band feel. Jimbo Mathus, who co-founded the group, is one of its key figures. The band's best-known song, "Hell," comes from its 1996 album Hot. Listeners who enjoy big band and vintage dance music will find the style familiar.

The title places the evening under the Christmas Caravan name. Bimbo's 365 Club, the San Francisco venue hosting it, presents concerts and shows, and the evening suits listeners who enjoy swing and jazz from the early twentieth century.
