Louis Armstrong Tribute

A jazz tribute concert in San Francisco celebrating Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, performed by a live band at The Palace Theater.

This is a tribute to two major figures of American popular music, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. The performers are a live band, not the original artists, and the repertoire centers on songs associated with both. Among them are Fly Me to the Moon, one of Sinatra's best-known recordings, and What a Wonderful World, the Armstrong song that remains one of his most widely recognized pieces.

Louis Armstrong (1901–1971) was a trumpeter and singer whose improvisations and vocal style shaped jazz from the 1920s onward. Frank Sinatra was a singer and actor whose recordings defined mid-century American vocal pop. The program presents both careers as a celebration of their influence on music and culture, with a mix of standards and well-known hits.

The Palace Theater hosts concerts and shows in San Francisco. The evening will suit listeners who enjoy jazz and the American songbook and want to hear two of the genre's most recognized names interpreted live.
