Charlie Brown Christmas: The Kevin Fort Trio

Charlie Brown Christmas is a holiday program built around the music of the Peanuts television special, performed by the Kevin Fort Trio at The CheckOut in Chicago.

Charlie Brown Christmas takes its name from A Charlie Brown Christmas, the 1965 animated television special based on Peanuts, whose score was composed by pianist and composer Vince Guaraldi. Guaraldi's jazz pieces, including the well-known "Linus and Lucy," became closely associated with the Peanuts holiday tradition.

The Kevin Fort Trio performs this holiday program at The CheckOut, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. Guaraldi recorded that score with his own trio, the same three-piece format as the performers on this bill. The program suits audiences who want a seasonal concert built around the Peanuts holiday music.
