Kat Edmonson: Have Your Merry Christmas With Me

A holiday jazz concert by singer-songwriter Kat Edmonson, presented at Space, a venue for concerts and shows in Evanston, just north of Chicago.

Kat Edmonson is a jazz singer-songwriter whose work draws on the American songbook and vintage pop. This program, Have Your Merry Christmas With Me, applies that vocal-led jazz style to seasonal songs, so the focus stays on the voice and the arrangements.

Space hosts concerts and shows in Evanston, a suburb on Chicago's northern edge. The program suits listeners who want a jazz concert built around holiday material, whether they already follow the artist or are looking for a seasonal evening of vocal jazz close to Chicago.

For newcomers, the jazz framing is the clearest guide to what to expect: the evening belongs to the tradition of singers who interpret standards, rather than to holiday pop.
