The Great Divide: A Tribute to Phish

The Great Divide is a tribute concert devoted to Phish, presented at The Mint in Los Angeles. It is a tribute act, not the original band.

Phish formed in 1983 in Burlington, Vermont, and its core members are Trey Anastasio on guitar, Mike Gordon on bass, Jon Fishman on drums and Page McConnell on keyboards. The band's studio catalogue includes A Picture of Nectar (1992), Billy Breathes (1996) and Hoist (1998), and its songs, such as "Harry Hood" and "You Enjoy Myself," are central to its long-running live following. The Great Divide draws on that repertoire, and the project works in pop, rock and indie.

This is a tribute, so the performers are not Phish, and the night is built around the songs of the original band rather than new material. It suits listeners who want to hear the Phish catalogue performed live by another group, and fans of the band's records who are curious about how its arrangements translate to a different stage.

The Mint hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this evening is one of its live music bookings in the city.
