TAZ with Captain Danger, Celso Salim

A Los Angeles concert at The Mint pairing TAZ, a guitarist who has toured with Jon Batiste, with the pop, rock and funk band Captain Danger. Celso Salim is also on the bill.

TAZ took up the guitar at age eight after seeing School of Rock, and a few years later appeared in the Broadway production of School of Rock the Musical. By sixteen, this guitarist had performed with Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Slash, Gary Clark Jr. and others, and John Mayer has endorsed the act. TAZ is currently a touring guitarist with Jon Batiste and has played concerts across the US, Europe, Asia, Canada and the Caribbean. A recorded debut is in preparation.

Captain Danger is made up of Roger "Joose On Drums" Benford, Keith "E-Day" Eaddy on bass and vocals, and Aaron Steinberg on vocals and guitar. Eaddy has worked with Dam-Funk and Macy Gray, Steinberg with Bill Nye, and Benford with SiR. The band's sound mixes pop, rock and funk, with echoes of Prince, Sly Stone and The Police. Olivia Olson, known from Adventure Time, and Flula Borg, known from Conan O'Brien, are among its collaborators, and the band's "Holly" video has won awards at film festivals.

The Mint hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles. This bill pairs a touring guitarist with a band whose music spans pop, rock and funk.
