Kevin Kanner Jazz

A Sunday jazz series at The Mint in Los Angeles, built around a rotating selection of local jazz acts, with a late-evening jam session led by Kevin Kanner.

This Sunday series at The Mint, a Los Angeles venue for concerts and shows, presents a changing selection of the city's jazz musicians. The lineup for this booking includes Aubrey Situmorang, AY Big Band and The Bean Tones. Guests who stay later can join Kevin Kanner's Jazz Jam, which runs as part of the Sunday residency.

The Bean Tones are a vocal jazz ensemble often compared with classic vocal harmony groups. They are promoting their Christmas record, \"A Very Bean Tones Christmas\", and will perform holiday standards alongside their own songs, including \"Turner Classic Christmas\" and \"The Girl From The North Pole\". Their program also features their vocal arrangements of jazz standards. The group presents its material to both committed jazz listeners and newcomers to the genre.

Kevin Kanner is a Southern California native with a long list of recording credits. These include albums with Paul Anka, Bill Holman, Gilbert Castellanos, Michael Bublé and Josh Nelson, and Holman's recordings from 2006 and 2007 earned Grammy nominations. Kanner has also toured and performed with John Pizzarelli, Lee Konitz, Benny Green and the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.
