Thundercat: Distracted AF Tour

Thundercat and Channel Tres perform on stage at The Fillmore New Orleans during the Distracted AF Tour.

Thundercat and Channel Tres bring their distinct sounds to New Orleans for a collaborative live concert event. Thundercat, the solo moniker of virtuoso bassist and singer Stephen Bruner, emerged from the Los Angeles jazz and beat scenes, releasing acclaimed albums such as Drunk and It Is What It Is, which earned a Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album. Bruner's music blends elements of R&B, soul, funk, and progressive electronic arrangements, characterized by rapid-fire bass lines and falsetto vocals.

Channel Tres contributes a distinct synthesis of West Coast hip-hop rhythms, Detroit techno aesthetics, and smooth house grooves, drawing from gospel and soul traditions. The set brings together two boundary-pushing artists who have previously collaborated on studio recordings.

The Fillmore New Orleans hosts this concert event as part of the venue's ongoing programming of contemporary touring acts in the city.
