Caps Vinyl Release Show

Chicago-based guitarist, composer, and bandleader Aaron Shapiro celebrates the release of Hats & Caps, a vinyl record inspired by his family’s history on Maxwell Street and the legacy of his great-grandfather’s hat shop, Dunn’s Hats & Caps. The two-song single features Shapiro’s original jazz compositions, drawing on his family’s roots and the Maxwell Street community that helped shape its history. Pressed on orange 10" vinyl, the release reflects a personal connection to the neighborhood and community at the heart of his family’s story.

Shapiro is joined by longtime collaborators John Sutton on bass, Nate Lepine on saxophone and flute, and Tommaso Moretti on drums.
