pianist Dennis Luxion

A jazz concert by pianist Dennis Luxion at The CheckOut, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening centers on the piano as the main voice.

Dennis Luxion is a pianist performing in the jazz idiom, with the piano as the central voice of this concert. Jazz piano rests on improvisation over harmonic structures, a tradition that runs from early standards to contemporary original writing.

The CheckOut hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and this evening brings the jazz pianist to its stage for a concert of live jazz. Audiences drawn to improvised piano music will find the evening's focus clear: the pianist and the instrument.

The concert is open to anyone interested in jazz piano, whether they follow the tradition closely or are discovering it for the first time.
