Warren Zevon Birthday Bash

A tribute concert devoted to the songs of Warren Zevon, presented at Space in Evanston. The original songwriter does not perform at this event.

Warren Zevon Birthday Bash is a tribute concert devoted to the music of Warren Zevon, the American singer-songwriter whose career ran from the 1970s until his death in 2003. Zevon himself does not perform at this event. His best-known record is Excitable Boy (1978), which includes "Werewolves of London," and his sardonic, character-driven songs draw on rock, blues and folk. Later albums such as Sentimental Hygiene (1987) extended that approach.

The night is aimed at listeners who want to hear Zevon's catalog interpreted live, and those familiar with his dark humor and narrative lyrics will recognize much of the material. The event takes place at Space, a venue in Evanston that hosts concerts and shows.
